What can you do?

There are lots of things you can do to help your recovery. You can try some of them, all of them, or for the moment maybe you don’t feel you can try any of them. No matter, you shouldn’t put yourself under pressure. I will just list all the tools that I am aware of that may help, and leave it to you if you want to try some of them, or not.

  • Seeing your doctor and/or a psychiatrist
  • Medication prescribed by your doctor or psychiatrist
  • Physical exercise
  • Healthy eating
  • Giving up alcohol and smoking
  • Relaxation, meditation, self-hypnosis
  • Distraction and occupational therapy
  • Self-help
  • Counselling
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Hypnotherpay
